We were camping up in Half Moon Bay. And after a few days it was time to go home. We packed up on our last day we decided to head up to 3-Zero Cafe. Since it was kind of a wet morning we were looking for a hot breakfast.
We got lucky that it was a Wednesday and we beat the weekend crowd. We heard a lot of good things about this place, so let’s see what they have.
Between my girlfriend Wen, our friend Jen, and myself we had breakfast covered.
Wen got the crab cakes benedict. These were good size cakes with no fillers. Just straight up crab with poach eggs over english muffins and a side of hollandaise sauce.
Jen got the 3 sausage and pancakes. Being the pancake whore I am, I had to try hers. They were light and fluffy buttermilk cakes.

Now for the best of the three. I had the french toast w/blueberries and strawberries. The problem is, I don’t like fruit on my food. When it comes to cakes and french toast just some butter and syrup is good. When it arrived it was covered with fruit and compote. Since I forgot to tell her to put it on the side, I said it was okay and proceeded to dive in.
Nice mistake because now I wouldn’t eat this any other way now. They used a brioche bread and even with the fruit it was delicious. I guess if you try something new, you might surprise yourself and end up liking it. It would be hard to go there again and order something else.
This cafe is located in a local airport for small aircraft. Great scenery watching the planes in the airport land and takeoff. The inside of course was decorated with aircraft memorabilia, but it’s the great service and food that makes me wish I lived closer….
