I know I’m a bit late, but here’s one of my favorite ice cream places. There are a few places in SoCal I really like. Who doesn’t like this stuff. I have all the sympathies for those who aren’t able to enjoy ice cream without repercussions.
In Alhambra there’s Fosselman’s. It’s a family owned ice cream company that’s making everything from your everyday vanilla and chocolate, to Asian lychee fruit and ube.
Another family owned place is McConnell’s. It’s located up the coast in Santa Barbara. We found this place while staying over night up there on our way home from northern Cali.
Both places make rich and creamy frozen goodies. Much better than anything you can get at a chain supermarket. You can taste the difference in quality as soon as they hit your taste buds.
Now this brings me to a new place to an old idea. If your ever on 2nd St. around Belmont Shore in Long Beach, checkout Paradis Ice Cream. That’s right Paradis, not Paradise. Maybe there is no “E” and maybe that’s from where Paradis originates from. Paradis comes from Denmark.
I can’t get into their process or the preparation involved, but don’t really care. I’m there just to enjoy their product. It’s rich, creamy, with a variety of different flavors. Here’s some of their flavors they had today:
-Coffee Chocolate Chip*
-Almond Chocolate Chip*
-Banana Caramel Chocolate w/Walnuts*
-Strawberry Chocolate Chip Sorbet*
-Banana Chocolate Chip Sorbet
*Flavors I really like
They have a different lineup everyday, so hit “LIKE” on their Facebook page to get daily updates.
As much as I love ice cream, I even like their sorbets. People who know me, know that I’m all about the ice cream, so sorbets never have a chance til now….lol. They even have ice cream for those vegans, yes vegan ice cream.
Come down and enjoy….
